Carol, these all look very good. Particularly like the crops, all but the Clown shot.

If I didn't know better, I would think I saw a fry eye in the mouth of the first shot.

Did you try to do any sharpening prior to saveing for the web? The white spots are probably in the tank in form of micro bubbles and debris. And magnified when you sharpened or increased in size when you changed resolution. I don't think our server creates that much garble (can't think of the right word).

Might be artifacts that you're trying to refer to Bobby.

The pictures are starting to look better as you go along. Sometimes the camera/lens will pick up details where we don't usually notice it until we see it the following time.

Saw some noise on these and ran one of them through Noise Ninja. Could also very easily use Rich's method of background clean up (better idea since it'll retain the details in the scales which were lost when running it through NN).

Does this look better now or worse?

Well, I can see that you blurred or smudged the white specks. An improvement over the distinct spots. Yes, I would say it looks better. I like the pose in this shot a lot. Non-typical and creates a mood of interest. I am looking for eggs.

Off-topic (but related):

That's an interesting clown you have there - those markings are "different"! (A fat clown too!). ^_^
